Se Jin Song is the Director of Research at the Center for Microbiome Innovation. She oversees industry collaborations, working to develop and execute microbiome research projects with partners in industry. She is also the managing director for The Microsetta Initiative, overseeing all operations for the project. She has a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and over a decade of experience in the field of microbiome science.
She views the Microsetta Initiative as a unique opportunity to help further not just the research through state-of-the-art methods, but also public understanding of the science through outreach. When she’s not thinking about how poop can be used to revolutionize human health, she enjoys cooking and socializing with her family and friends.
